An Independent Magazine
A manufacturer is NOT required to pay Poolsearch any fee to be listed in our magazines or on our websites. In fact, more than 40 percent of our Recommended, Approved and Editor’s Choice recipients have NEVER advertised or paid Poolsearch any sort of fee for favorable editorial publicity or treatment. Further, our editors do not invest in firms whose products we include in our magazine.

About Our Buyers' Guide
The decision to purchase a swimming pool is an easy one; selecting the manufacturer or builder is usually a much more perplexing and complicated decision. After all, your swimming pool must be built with quality materials and superior craftsmanship to last for years. Today, more than 9,000 companies build and install swimming pools and spas in the United States and Canada. Imagine sifting through all the information sources necessary to make a decision to find the perfect swimming pool to compliment your lifestyle. It is a daunting task. Seemingly, it is nearly impossible to do a thorough evaluation of a single pool builder much less when evaluating multiple companies who incorporate unique terminology and trademarked names to compare similar features.

Planning Guide Accuracy
Poolsearch has consolidated our Buyers' Guide to summarize the "major" players in the industry. Due to obvious logistics, we do not conduct individual independent product evaluations of each swimming pool or spa featured in our magazine; instead we rely information provided by our editors, manufacturers, consumers, and other 3rd parties to evaluate products when printing our planning guides. In addition, we have eliminated numerous manufacturers because we were unable to obtain and confirm information about their pool or spas prior to printing this guide.

Because of the inherent delay and risk of inadvertently omitting or misprinting information in our publications, we recommend each homeowner conduct a through evaluation of their manufacturer or pool builder before purchasing. It is the consumer’s responsibility to select a manufacturer and contractor and to negotiate the terms for any work performed. Consumers should consult with appropriate expert advisors to assist in home improvements and spa/pool construction, including a lawyer regarding contracts, permits and other necessary job documentation, and an insurance professional regarding contractor’s and owner’s insurance coverage requirements. Due to the inherent time delay in the data-gathering process, pending actions or other issues affecting a manufacturer or contractor’s record may have occurred that were not captured by third-party data sources prior to publishing materials in our planning guides and websites.
